  • Sandra A. Matheson

    Sandra A. Matheson, President

    Sandra is the creative, resourceful principal providing direction to the consulting teams to ensure client requirements are understood and expectations met. Beginning as Director of Public Health Nutrition for the New Brunswick government, and following stints with a national foodservices management firm and Quebec based food facility design and consulting firm, Sandra has been an industry player for over 20 years. She served as President of Dietitians of Canada. In 2003 Food Systems Consulting Inc was merged with Marek Hospitality Inc. Sandra was President of both firms until June 2014. She sold her equity in Marek and retired from the operating company. She is now the owner and President of Food Systems Consulting Inc.

  • Catherine MacKenzie

    Catherine MacKenzie, Vice President

    Catherine has had a varied career in healthcare operations and management beginning in Saint John, NB as a clinical dietitian, followed by a sole charge position in NS then on to BC where she worked in various hospitals as a department director and finally as Director of Therapy Services. Since 1994, Catherine has been involved in foodservice consulting projects across Canada with Food Systems Consulting Inc. Projects have included working with clients to provide quality meal experiences for patients/residents, exploring opportunities for shared services, interim departmental management, and developing specifications for computerized information systems for Foodservice and Nutrition departments.

  • David Savage

    David Savage, Vice President

    David Savage is an operations management specialist with over thirty years of foodservices experience in healthcare and educational facilities, logistics and contract management. He has participated in consulting projects over the past 10 years including operational assessments, innovative meal service systems, contract management compliancy audits and customer focus groups. David has an in-depth understanding of multisite operations, advanced production and distribution systems, multi-style meal service and retail operations.

  • Mark Murdoch

    Mark Murdoch, Senior Associate

    Mark combines over 25 years of hands on foodservice operating experience in the public and private sectors with broad based project management skills to deliver insightful and progressive advice and direction to clients. Extensive work in procurement, business process improvement, front of house and back of house operations, and environmental programs with some of Canada’s most iconic companies has helped hone his skills. He has participated in and led numerous facility reviews, directional plans and Request for Proposals.

  • John Radchenko

    John Radchenko, Senior Design Associate

    John Rachenko is a principal of Van Velzen + Radchenko Design Associates Ltd who have been the design studio for Food Systems for the past 20 years working on projects as varied as small workplace cafes to multi-million dollar advanced food production facilities for large healthcare organizations. John is the Past President of FCSI World Wide and has traveled internationally, networking with global consultants and viewing facilities throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He excels at space planning, creative designs and technically competent facilities planning, design and construction supervision.
